We are constantly growing the expertise of our Board which currently consists of Daniel Solomons, Raymond Brinkhuis, Verity Simons, Claudean Myburgh, Mario Mufweba, Dale Simons (Chairman).
Executive Director & Chaplain
He is passionate about transforming the lives of South Africans and positively affecting the youth. Daniel is a Stellenbosch University graduate with a BA in Industrial Psychology, a Postgraduate Diploma in HIV/Aids Management, an MPhil in HIV/Aids Management and a MTh in Clinical Pastoral Care. He has spent most of his career working with students and learners, first as Faculty Secretary for the Law, Theology and Economic and Management Sciences faculties and later as Director of Dynamic Skills Consultants.
Through these positions he assisted prospective students with university admission queries and guidance on school subject choices to gain entry to university, and offered skills development programmes for the youth and high school learners in need of study skills and in learning motivational techniques. He has also assisted the Western Cape Education Department with the High School Improvement Programme aimed at Grade 12s. Daniel is also the Director of The Breathe Institute, an NGO offering trauma and relationship counselling services to lower income individuals and the general public, and has facilitated a range of workshops on leadership, conflict resolution, strategic planning and diversity management.
Chief Financial Officer
Raymond is the Founder and Director of Lierolac (Pty) Ltd, a consulting company established in 2017. He applies his skills and experience in Operations, Audit and Finance (which was accumulated in his banking career of over 22 years) to assist small business owners to establish and operate sustainable business ventures.
Fun Fact: Raymond enjoys spending time on creative activities like drawing, painting, and making cement garden planting pots.
Dale Simons is the Managing Director of MiDO Technologies and is highly skilled in information and communication technology software solutions, support, training and systems implementation. He has worked for Pragma Africa, an international leader in the provision of asset management services, and Spier Holdings, a well-known wine and leisure business. During his time at Pragma and Spier, he worked as an ICT Consultant, a Support Manager, Systems Administrator, IT Manager, Group IT Manager and an ICT Director.
He holds a NDip in Mechanical Engineering from the Cape Peninsula University of Technology and completed a project management course at AECI Engineering. Dale has also completed the 12-month Executive Development Programme of the University of Stellenbosch Business School. In 2003, he became a Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate. His knowledge and experience in ICT solutions for educational and public benefit organisations combined with his desire to bring about change and transformation in society are the driving forces behind his commitment to prepare the youth for the 4th Industrial Revolution.
Verity Simons is our Business Administrator and manages all human resources, administration, finance and our technical team. She holds a Diploma in Hotel Operations and Management and has more than 18 years’ experience in management and administration.
She is dedicated to providing opportunities for South Africa’s youth to develop technological skills and believes that there is nothing as important as exposing the youth to the limitless possibilities that exist beyond their current environments.
Education Strategies & Curriculum Development
Claudean is the newest addition to the MiDO Foundation Board.
With a keen interest in education, and is studying towards a B.Ed degree.
She joined the MiDO Foundation in 2016 as Project Manager overseeing the implementation of projects sponsored by the Rupert Education Trust and Remgro.
With a keen eye for detail, Claudean focuses her efforts on analysing data to help determine the impact of projects. In this way, she helps ensure that MiDO Foundation stays the course and continues to change lives through technology.
Mario is a highly qualified educationist in radical pedagogy & the philosophy of education.

The team at mido foundation consist of a diverse group of individuals with an extensive set of skills from information and communications technology to infrastructure roll-out, leadership development and expertise in the effective application of Google for Education in the education sector.
We have 9 Hub Coordinators on-site providing continuous assistance.
We also employ 20 teachers training assistants per year on a 12-month paid internship contract at the Digital Technology Hubs at the schools we service.

Head of Sales, Marketing & Fundraising
Nadine is an enthusiastic go-getter, who joined the MiDO Foundation team in 2020. Her formal studies in Tourism and Hospitality helped prepare her for a career in which she excels at working with people. Nadine is responsible for Sales, Marketing & Fundraising at MiDO Foundation.
Fun Fact: Nadine enjoys the outdoors especially hiking and camping. She keeps fit by doing regular Zumba sessions. Nadine also believes in uplifting the youth in her community and is involved in a number of community-based organisations.
Kim-Lynn van de Rheede
I am an energetic, deep thinking, creative and intuitive woman, passionate about seeing people grow in their unique callings and reaching their full potential. I completed my bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management in 2016 and with this I’ve been offering HR solutions to small and medium enterprises on a pro bono basis until Mileck HR Solutions was born 1 May 2019.
Fun Fact: I enjoy long walks on the beach and sunset drives.
Nhlanhla is passionate about social innovation, social impact, product and business development. He has spent 15 years in the social enterprise space, training social entrepreneurs to create revenue streams to support their dreams. He has a reputation for creating and curating large scale international events for small businesses and social impact organisations. He has worked in SADC and East Africa unlocking new opportunities for small and medium sized businesses.
Fun Fact: Nhlanhla is an avid Orlando Pirates fan, taking up Golf lessons now and a closet activist. He is a father and husband, moonlights as a garden boy at his wife’s Butterfly Farm.
Digital Marketing Coordinator
With a natural ability for graphic design and coupled with her experience in social media and photography, Cassidy has an eye for detail and brings a wealth of skills and knowledge in terms of visual content representation.
Fun Fact: Cassidy is a professional golfer and is looking to start her career on the Ladies Sunshine Tour.
Senior Project Administrator
Michelle joined the MiDO Foundation team in 2020 as Project Administrator responsible for the Hub Coordinators and Yes Interns. In 2021, she was promoted to Senior Project Administrator.
Fun Fact: Michelle is a Professional Photographer who spends her spare time capturing the special moments in her clients’ lives. She is also a great guitar player and talented singer.

Infrastructure & Support Technician
Roderick is the Infrastructure and Support Technician at MiDO Foundation. He is always ready to help and enjoys finding solutions to complex problems.
He has a Can-Do attitude and no problem is ever too difficult to tackle.
